even with an inspection, termites can go unnoticed

Our goal is to deliver the most comprehensive and accurate WDO termite inspection we can!

Infra red termite inspections. Pest Safari 5876 Westmont Rd. Milton, FL. 32583

Infra Red Inspection

Pest Safari always attempts to provide the most comprehensive and accurate wood destroying organism (WDO) inspections we can.  As an additional tool, Pest Safari utilizes infrared cameras on every inspection.  Infrared cameras depict variations in temperatures inside your walls and converts them into a color palette. This assists your termite inspector in finding anomalies that may otherwise go unnoticed.  Infra-red cameras also help to find conditions that are conducive for termites, such as roof leaks, plumbing leaks, and above ground moisture issues.

Wall Penetrating Radar

Termatrac is a device that emits a microwave signal that can penetrate most building materials. It then sends this signal to a hand held computer allowing your Pest Safari inspector to confirm the presence of termites inside the studs, within your walls, without having to remove sheet rock or damage the structure.

Termatrac is so accurate, that many times, we can trace the termites and find their point of entry within the home. This allows us to perform more accurate treatments for termites. After the treatment is performed, your Pest Safari inspector can return and confirm that all the termites are dead and gone. -That's affordable peace of mind.

Why get a WDO termite inspection when buying a home

Subterranean termite shelter tubes coming out of a wall near a window.

Not all termite damage is as easy to find as this photo

In fact,  it is not uncommon for termites to be infesting a home for 3 to 5 years before visual signs are evident.

Termite Damages

The average native subterranean termite damage claim is $6,000 to $8,000

The average Formosan termite damage claim is $40,000 to $60,000

(our area has a high concentration of Formosan termites)

Termite Insurance

Home owners insurance does NOT cover termite damages!

Have a home inspector?

Of course we do recommend having a home inspector inspect your home.  They are very beneficial in finding problems with electrical, and plumbing problems and can also be helpful in locating wood rot... THEY ARE NOT TERMITE EXPERTS!   (see highlights above)

Pest Safari's WDO termite inspection process

We start with only using experienced, highly trained, termite inspectors.

Pest Safari performs a visual termite inspection of the interior area of your home.

Visual WDO termite inspection

01

Pest Safari performs a visual termite inspection.  We inspect the interior, exterior, attic and crawl spaces of your home.

Telescopic cameras are used to find evidence of termites

Telescopic termite cameras

02

During your termite inspection, telescopic cameras may be used to help your Pest Safari termite inspector find evidence of termites that a visual inspection would normally miss.

Used to listen for differences in sounds that may denote hollow areas and termites in the wood.

Donger termite test

03

This special termite inspection tool is used to rub across or tap baseboards and listen for differences in sounds that may denote hollow areas in the wood.

Infra red cameras helps to find problems that are not seen during the visual inspection.

The use of infra red cameras helps your Pest Safari termite inspector find anomalies or problems that are not seen during the visual inspection.  Once an anomaly is found, the next steps determine the source of the problem.

Sonogram machines are used to determine if a termite infestation is active

SONOGRAM TERMITE INSPECTION

05

When termites are suspected in an area, Pest Safari utilizes sonogram machines to determine if a termite infestation is active without having to cut holes in the wall.

Borescopes are tiny cameras that are inserted inside a wall to provide photo evidence of termites

BORESCOPIC TERMITE INSPECTION

06

Pest Safari also utilizes state-of-the-art borescopes.  Many times, we can insert a tiny camera inside a wall to determine what an anomaly may be and provide photo evidence of a termite infestation.
